The BISSELL/Sram team had a solid race in this year’s K2 Cycle Classic. Jeremy Vennell took second place in his first race with his new BISSELL teammates with the BISSELL/Sram team controlling most of the race. After several breakaway attempts, Scott Zwizanski successfully split from the lead group and went onto race most of the course alone. The chase group which was dominated by BISSELL/Sram forced eventual winner, Jeremy Yates (Subway), to do most of the work. A flat for Tom Zirbel and the pressure from the lead riders caused a split in the first chase group. Eventually, Jeremy Vennell and Jeremy Yates caught and dropped Zwizanski. The race came down to a sprint finish with Yates as winner and Vennell in second. Both Yates and Vennell broke the previous race record by three minutes.
