Aaron Takes Tour de Nez Victory
The final stage of the Tour de Nez was a 60 minute circuit race at Northstar at Tahoe. The 3.1k loop incorporated power climbs, technical turning, and a section of pavé through the village. The course called on skill, power, and experience and BISSELL’s Aaron Olson had all of that and more! The BISSELL Pro Cycling Team started the stage in a great position with 5 riders still in the race and used exceptional tactics throughout. First, Graham Howard bridged to the breakaway, followed by Tom Zirbel and Aaron. Riders in the break noted that the pressure increased as the 3 BISSELL riders joined the lead group. Tom and Graham continuously pushed at the front of the break to maximize Aaron’s time gap; meanwhile, Burke Swindlehurst kept tabs on race leader, Andy Bajaldi (Kelly Benefits), in the field. All of BISSELL’s efforts, both in the break and in the field, contributed to Aaron’s win. Aaron reflected on a tough day of racing, “It was hard to change from the rhythm of yesterday to the speed needed today. The team rode awesome today.” Congratulations to the BISSELL Pro Cycling Team for their remarkable effort and to Aaron on an outstanding win!
