The BISSELL Pro Cycling Team continues to show that they are the dominant team in the domestic peloton with two riders in the top ten at today's time trial. Today's results demonstrate that the team is not only one to be reckoned with in the U.S. but can also hold their own against the biggest named pro riders. Tom Zirbel help the 1st place position for most of the early day. He was closely followed by Ben Jacques-Maynes who went off 17th from the last rider and posted a time just one second behind Zirbel. The BISSELL Pro Cycling Team was one of the strongest teams in today's stage with a 5th place in the team competition. BISSELL, Astana, Slipstream, and CSC are the only teams who had multiple riders in the top ten. Ben's outstanding result today places him 16th in the General Classification. Today's results speak volumes to the team's determination to win.

BISSELL’s Tom Zirbel and Ben Jacques-Maynes Rip Top Ten in Solvang Time Trial
From Solvang, 22 February 2008 – Tom Zirbel and Ben Jacques-Maynes furthered BISSELL PRO CYCLING’s ‘team-to-watch’ status after a stunning showing during the 15-mile Stage 5 undulating time trial in Solvang, CA.
Zirbel, the 59th rider to take off from the starting block out of 105 remaining riders, held 2nd place for most of the race until the last of the big guns slowly unseated he and Jaques-Maynes, pushing them permanently into eighth and ninth place, respectively.
As has been repeated throughout the week, the BISSELL boys were the only US Domestic team to break the top ten, the remainder of the top twenty (with the exception of Ben Day) made up of Pro Tour cyclists Pro Continental cyclists.
“We knew that both of these guys were capable of that caliber of performance today – and they proved it,” said BISSELL’s Director Sportiff Glen Mitchell. “Two in the top ten; definitely couldn’t ask for anything better than that. It was an outstanding day.”
Jaques-Maynes remains in 16th on GC.
