Andy Jacques-Maynes takes the win in
Saturday's
Circuit Race at the Laguna Seca Raceway
The BISSELL Pro Cycling Team was in every bit of action in the 70 mile Sea Otter Circuit Race. The first lap was the only calm lap of the day, and the action quickly got underway on the second lap with the attack from BISSELL's Paul Mach and a Land Rover rider.
The lead group increased to three when a Colavita rider bridged across. Riders continued to attempt to bridge across until the lead group grew to six riders including Paul and Morgan Schmitt. Levi Leipheimer (Astana) set a very fast pace on the front of the chase group and the six man breakaway was eventually caught.
The high speeds also put great stress on the riders which saw the lead group drop to 14 including 4 BISSELL riders. As the group was still recovering from the chase, BISSELL's Jeremy Vennell launched a brilliant attack. He was followed by Luis Amaran (Colavita) and Andy Jacques-Maynes. The trio were able to stay away for the rest of the race.
On the final lap, Andy blew away his breakmates to cross the finish solo. Amaran came across for second and Jeremy third.
