Advantage Benefits Group

Bob Hughes and Advantage Benefits Group (ABG) have been avid supporters of athletic competition for many years. With over six decades of combined experience, Advantage Benefits Group provides a wealth of knowledge in the employee benefits area, and the sport of cycling fits very well into the business of Advantage Benefits Group. Cycling is a healthy sport promoting healthy living. That’s what Advantage Benefits’ business is all about, because healthier Americans mean lower healthcare costs for all.

Bob's dedication to youth and development is unyielding. Bob has been serving as a Big Brother for 14 years. He is also on the board of the West Michigan Sports Commission and is a proud Junior Achievement Instructor at Burton Heights Elementary School.  Bob's commitment to the riders is a crucial element in the BISSELL Pro Cycling Team. It would be tough to find a sponsor in any sport to match Bob’s love for the riders on his team. He opens his house up to them at all times, he feeds them, in essence he takes care of them as if they were his own children. It is a rare occurrence to find a CEO of a company that sponsors a pro cycling team in the feed zone, mixing bottles and handing them out to his riders. This is standard procedure for Bob Hughes. Bob is also an instrumental leader in the BISSELL-ABG Giant Team which helps develop U23 riders in the midwest. Bob enjoys racing sailboats and is himself, an avid rider.

Bob’s passion for victory, his riders and his financial commitment to this solidifies the fact that we will be the program to ride for in North America.
