Meet The Pros

Come to the Michigan Mountain Biking Association (MMBA) Annual Meeting and Expo at the MSU Pavilion in East Lansing on Sunday, January 31st and meet some of the top road racing professionals from the State of Michigan. On hand will be 9-time Tour de France competitor and 2-time Olympian, Frankie Andreu. Joining him will be current pro cyclist and Bay City native, Jake Rytlewski of the Kenda Pro Cycling presented by GEARGRINDER Team along with first year professional and Grand Rapids native, David Williams of the Bissell Pro Cycling Team. Other Michigan pro cyclists from some of the top teams in the U.S. may also attend.

Starting at 10:30am will be a 30 minute Question & Answer session with the Pros, covering topics on how they started racing, what it takes to become a pro cyclist and what NOT to eat when you’re racing in the Tour de France!

From 11:00am to 12:00pm, Frankie, Jake and David will be available to meet individually, sign autographs, and take pictures.

Additionally, make sure you are on hand at 1pm to join Frankie as he presents the Michigan Youth Cycling (MYC) “Junior Cyclists of the Year” award at 1pm. For more information on the MYC check out - http://www.michiganyouthcycling.org/

About Jake Rytlewski and the Kenda Pro Cycling presented by GEARGRINDER Team: Hailing from Bay City, Jake Rytlewski started his cycling career with the Tri-City Cyclists club. Entering his sixth year as a professional, in 2009 Jake capped off his most successful season to date with a 5th place at the USPro National Criterium Championships and a top 20 at the USPro National Road Race Championships. Jake is looking for strong early season form in the lead up to the teams first international stage race, the seven day Tour de Taiwan (UCI 2.2) in March.
