K-Edge Cycling Solutions

K-Edge Cycling Solutions brand was born from one simple product, Kristin Armstrong’s Chain Catcher - later to be called K-Edge Chain Catcher. The K-Edge Chain Catcher is a purposeful design that was engineered for a single goal: help Kristin Armstrong win the Gold at the 2008 Olympic Games. While we wouldn’t be so arrogant to suggest the K-Edge was the reason Kristin took gold, it’s a common sense design that provides functional and mental advantages for high performance cyclists. The K-Edge is also perfect for anyone who likes to keep their chain in place, improve shifting performance, and protect their frame from damage caused by a derailed chain.

The original one-off K-Edge prototype was used in Kristin’s 2008 Gold Medal Ride. It attracted enough attention from the pro cycling world that the production K-Edge debuted in the Pro Tour peloton at the 2009 Paris-Roubaix and was used by several teams in the 2009 Tour de France. In addition to having the K-Edge on international and domestic professional teams, we also have world and national championship title rides on the road and cyclocross.

In a short period of time we have expanded our K-Edge product offering to include components for road, mountain, and cyclocross. While our focus has been on providing intelligent solutions for the elite level of our sport, the same solutions that the pros ride are available to cyclists of all abilities
